A Note from Dara Cox, School Counselor - Holiday Help

I just wanted to share about our Holiday Assistance plan at PVE. Flyers were sent home with students last week about receiving or offering help to some of our families. There are several ways to get involved.

1.) We will be "Stuffing the Stockings" again as we did last year. Gift items for 12-15 families will be listed on stockings for students to choose. (with permission, of course!) A student may turn in a permission slip and choose a stocking from the "fireplace" that will be in front of the main office. The student would purchase the gift and bring it in to be delivered to the family. As a parent, you may allow your child to take as many stockings as you'd like. A flyer will be going home with a permission slip attached.
2.) You and your family may adopt a whole family to get gifts for. If you would like to do this, just let Dara Cox know and she'll get you set up. (phone number and e-mail are at the close of this e-mail)
3.) You can provide money to help with families that don't get adopted or provide gift cards for gas, groceries, restaurants, etc. Someone else will do the shopping for you!!

If you know of a church, business, organization, etc. that would like to adopt a family for the Holidays, please let Dara know. We are in need of support.
